Can my computer run Windows 11?

As of 11/17/21, Microsoft states that a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0 is required to upgrade to Windows 11. Most motherboards do not feature this component, instead offering a header for you to install the module separately.

Motherboards without a discrete TPM 2.0 module may still meet the requirements for Windows 11 through manufacturer specific security solutions such as AMD Ryzen’s firmware TPM (fTPM) and Intel’s Platform Trust Technology (PTT).

You can generally enable these options in the motherboard’s BIOS if you have a CPU listed below.

Compatible AMD Ryzen CPUs:

  • Ryzen 2000 series
  • Ryzen 3000 series
  • Ryzen 5000 series

Compatible Intel CPUs:

  • Intel 8th Gen (Coffee Lake)
  • Intel 9th Gen (Coffee Lake Refresh)
  • Intel 10th Gen (Comet Lake)
  • Intel 10th Gen (Ice Lake)
  • Intel 11th Gen (Rocket Lake)
  • Intel 11th Gen (Tiger Lake)

In addition to those hardware requirements, you will also need to convert your operating system’s drive file system from MBR to GPT.

Once you have confirmed that the file system is GPT, you will need to change or disable CSM (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) or Legacy Boot Mode and enable UEFI/BIOS (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) in order to enable “Secure Boot.”

Do your computers come prebuilt? What is included with my PC?

Your PC comes fully assembled and ready to use. Every PC comes with a setup guide, as well as a power cable, mouse, and keyboard. We currently do not offer monitor cables or speakers/headsets at this time.

Do your computers come with drivers?

Each computer comes with Windows 10 and hardware drivers. As Windows, Intel, AMD and Nvidia continually update their drivers, you may need to download the latest versions from their respective sites.

Where is my SSD?

Please check to see that you have an M.2 form factor SSD instead of the regular 2.5” SSD. If you are missing any components, please contact Customer Service.

Do our computers come with a DVD drive?

As most gamers nowadays use services such as ‘Steam’ and ‘GOG.COM’ to obtain their games digitally, we have decided to lower the cost of the majority of our products by excluding the DVD drive. Our older ‘Archangel’, ‘Shadow’ and ‘Rampage’ lines are the only models to offer an internal DVD drive. If you do need a DVD drive, external USB drives are available on the internet or brick and mortar stores to purchase. If you by chance receive a driver CD with your PC, you may dispose of it as newer drivers are already pre-installed by our technicians.

Can my computer come preinstalled with Linux, Windows XP/7/8 instead of Windows 10?

We currently only offer Windows 10 at this time.

Where can I find my activation key?

A Windows 10 digital license is associated with your PC hardware. We do not have OEM stickers or product cards. To see the full key, you need to use a third party program such as ‘Product KeyFinder’. If your Windows is unactivated, please use the ‘Activation Troubleshooter’ in Windows.

Please note that you will have to add the device to your Microsoft Live account to transfer the key after you change motherboards. You can do this by going to Settings Update & Security Activation Add a Microsoft account.

We offer free shipping on all PC orders for pan India. Additional charges may apply if you live in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THE ORDER TO BE DELIVERED?

Once your PC has been built, tested and packed up. Your order will be dispatched to arrive the next 5 to 7 working day.

Exceptions will occur where an address is off-shore, in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Please bear in mind, that the delivery time can vary, if you have chosen a special delivery date when placing your order, such as Saturday or Sunday.

HOW IS MY PC PACKED?

Your PC is packed to a very high standard to ensure that no damage can occur to it during transit. We use a variety of packaging materials, such as bubble wrap, cardboard shredding and sometimes empty stock boxes to decrease waste and help save the environment. These boxes are not representative of the components inside your PC.

When we pack and ship your PC, we leave as little empty space in the box as possible, to prevent your PC from moving about, minimising the risk of your PC getting transit damaged.

We recommend that you pack your PC in a similar, if not the same way that we do, in the even that you need to return it to us.

Does Sphinx Computer provide GST invoicing?

Sphinx Computers is a legally registered firm under the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. We provide GST invoice on all our products. If you need your GST Number in the bill, please provide the information during billing

Where can I find the tracking information for my PC?

You should be able to look up the tracking number in your orders if you purchased a PC from our website. Please note that our current system will have the status as processed until it ships out.

What payment options do I have for my PC?

What benefit I could get by paying through Bank Transfer

You have the option of paying directly into our bank account while checkout. This helps us reduce payment gateway charges and also giving you some cashback in doing so.

Warranty & RMA

What is your warranty policy?

Our default policies are as follows:

  • 1-Year Policy on Parts & Repairs: Whether you need replacement parts or your computer sent in for repairs, we will cover it all free of charge. This and the above warranties are voided when you change the following components with non-Sphinxpc Gaming issued components: motherboard, CPU, RAM, GPU and Power Supply.

  • Lifetime Technical Support: We will answer any question, technical or not for the lifetime of your PC.
